Brymark Installations Group is pleased to announce its successful re-qualification for the CSABC Health & Safety Certificate of Recognition (COR), and qualification for the Injury Management/Return-to-Work COR. This achievement is the result of Brymarks’ continued focus on and commitment to a safe working environment.
The Construction Safety Association of British Columbia (CSABC) is a non-profit organization owned and operated by the construction industry of British Columbia. CSABC was created to protect the health and safety of the people who work in construction by building a culture of safety at all organizational levels. CSABC works with WorkSafeBC to develop and provide the construction industry with resources and best practices aimed at reducing human and capital costs associated with construction workplace injuries.
In order to apply for a COR, a company must provide training for all levels of the organization (Owners/Senior Management, Supervision, and Tradesmen), as well as auditor training for at least one employee. Internal audits, a comprehensive method of gauging how employees understand and utilize Health & Safety Programs, are completed annually. External audits are completed every three years. Brymark has held the COR for Health and Safety since 2005
Lynanne Fortin, Corporate Safety Manager for Brymark, credits the “active participation of everyone in the Brymark organization” for this achievement. “The annual achievement of the COR certification is a real testament to the commitment of the Brymark’s Team. This achievement cannot be done by one or a few people, it requires everyone from our workers on the tools right up to our General Manager to be involved, engaged and following the program. Well done everyone.”
