Policy and Program Details
Brymark Installations’ Industrial Health and Safety Program is designed to ensure compliance with clients’ HS&E program, WorkSafeBC regulations, the Workers’ Compensation Act and governing bodies.
The program clearly assigns specific safety responsibilities and includes policies addressing hazards, inspections, incident reporting and investigation, communications, training, orientation, legislation, personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness, safe work practices, maintenance, safety records and statistics. It also provides for:
- Regular inspections of all equipment and work areas, and a system to ensure any hazardous conditions are corrected promptly,
- Regular evaluation and observation of work methods and procedures to ensure safe practices are maintained,
- Prompt investigation of accidents to determine the need for any changes to prevent reoccurrence,
- Direction and training for employees to ensure they can perform their duties without risk to personnel, equipment and the environment,
- The maintenance of records and statistics on accidents and operations to provide the information necessary to evaluate the program,
- Ongoing evaluation and improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Program.
