Policy and Program Details

Brymark Installations holds a British Columbia Contractor A Licence for the:

  • Fabrication, installation, repair and/or alteration of Pressure Piping
  • Repair and/or alteration of Power Boilers and
  • Repair and/or alteration of Pressure Vessels


Brymark is also a member of the Mechanical Contractors’ Association of B.C. and is permitted to use the common welding procedures developed by that organization. Brymark also uses the provincial common welding procedures with the PWP designations, as well as maintains our own welding procedures.

Taking responsibility
Our procedural safeguards include clear areas of authority regarding quality control and assurance, such as:
Brymark’s project managers are responsible for ensuring all projects adher to the strict quality control procedures outlined in the Quality Control Manual. The Quality Control Manager has the responsibility, authority and organizational freedom to identify, recommend and provide solutions to any QC problems. The General Manager is responsible for making the final decision regarding any quality control problem that cannot be resolved to the satisfaction of the Quality Control Manager.

Ensuring quality
Our Quality Assurance Manual specifies measures covering all aspects of our work, including:

  • All engineering design work and post-weld heat treatment is completed by qualified individuals.
  • All materials used are fully documented and comply with the project specifications.
  • An Examination and Inspection Program is implemented, including project-specific testing plans or reports.
  • Non-conformities are addressed and controlled.
  • All welding meets regulatory requirements and all welders are fully qualified and monitored.
  • All Non-Destructive Examination is subcontracted to a qualified Level III examiner and performed in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • All gauges are maintained and calibrated to ensure accuracy.
  • The retention in the job file of all records relating to engineering, design and material, as well as Non-Destructive Examination reports, the Repair/Alteration Reports and Construction Data Reports.
  • The Inspecting Power Engineer is a qualified representative of the British Columbia Safety Authority who has full access to the plant, field sites and all Code fabrication information they request and an updated controlled version of Brymark’s Quality Control Manual.
  • Brymark’s Quality Control Manual is reviewed at least annually.
